Police say woman dead hours before accident
EDINBURG - Police responding to an accident found a dead woman inside a car. But they say it wasn't the accident that killed her.
"We were a little mystified this morning," says Quirino Munoz, the Edinburg Police Chief.
The investigation started outside of Edinburg. A man slammed into barrels on the southbound lanes of Highway 281.
The police chief says, "The damages on the vehicle as a result of the impact were somewhat minor - injuries not consistent with fatal injuries."
